Very interesting. I've read quite a bit of LOA stuff and it is intriguing. Esther Hicks was in the original version of The Secret, but then was removed over a falling out, I believe. Not sure why.

I remember hearing that too.

And I'm sure people could dig up dirt about her and also anyone related to The Secret.

As people have with Alan Watts.

But the value to me is the questions they (Hicks, Watts, Tony Robbins, etc) prompt me to ask about myself and my own life.

And those questions remain useful regardless of choices they've made in their own lives.

Yes, absolutely. Different topic, but I remember people tried to discredit Erich von Däniken by saying that he once paid for sex. Whether that was true or not I cannot say, but they were trying to destroy his reputation and his work because they didn't like it.

As you say, their message may help you and that is what really matters. I think it is time to go and listen to some Alan Watts, it's been a while.

Incidentally, if you like chilled out ambient style music mixed with Alan Watts, check out the album Web Of Life by Man Of No Ego... quite cool.

This confusion is one I grapple with constantly. I too feel scared to fully accept the teachings of Abraham Hicks and Vadim Zeland, but there's no denying that consistently practicing their teachings is changing my life. Faster than any other methods. Sustainably, too. It drives me crazy...you can't really explain it scientifically. It's honestly kind of embarrassing sometimes. My husband is kind of like you, Ryan, and I'm like your partner. Skeptical about "consciousness" but noticing the rapid change. Open to possibility. It's a conversation that may may join religion and spirituality forever. Where in Georgia did you live? I'm from Atlanta :)

It also drives me insane how everything is quantum physics to these people

Thanks for these thoughtful comments.

I hadn't heard of Vadim Zeland. Thanks.

We're in Roswell. 😀

By the way, you might like Vadim Zeland more. His style is more down-to-earth, science-based, no logical jumps with the quantum physics stuff without explanations. He wrote Reality Transurfing. I currently resonate with this style greatly more than others.

Is Vadim Zeland Russian, and his books have been translated into English?

And he does not have any videos?

What do you most recommend as a starting place?

Ah, yes. That part. 😅

The way I even found out about him was through Quazi Johir's Youtube channel. He has some videos there that talk about concepts like "inner and outer intention" and "the plait" which are all concepts from Transurfing. Also, the audiobook is available for free on Spotify. It's a long one, but either one is a good starting point.
